It?s that special time of year when we get to give back to a place that will always hold a piece of our hearts?Comer Children?s Hospital. Five years ago, we spent 10 painful days there, and it was the incredible doctors, nurses, and research behind them that saved our little girl?s life.

Today, she is thriving. In just the past year, she learned to ice skate, continued playing soccer (outdoors!), tried gymnastics, picked up golf clubs (Daddy couldn?t be happier), started dance class (Momma is thrilled), and even began KINDERGARTEN! She adores her teacher, her classmates, and insists the bus is her own personal limo. Every day she amazes us with new stories, and each September we are reminded of those 10 days when she fought so hard?and when so many people who didn?t even know us stepped in to help.

We owe an enormous debt of gratitude not only to the incredible nurses and doctors, but also to the groundbreaking research that made her recovery possible. Sadly, much of that research funding is being cut, making community support more critical than ever.
