Welcome to Dr. Lindsay Schwartz's RBC Race for the Kids @ Comer Children's Hospital Fundraising Page!

Hi all! My name is Lindsay Schwartz, and I am a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology doctor at the University of Chicago. On Sunday, October 16th, 2022, I’ll be running in the RBC Race for the Kids at Comer Children's. Please consider supporting this cause by making a donation!
When I’m not taking care of patients, I am researching socioeconomic, educational, and health disparity-driven factors that can impact long-term health outcomes for childhood and adolescent/young adult (AYA) cancer survivors. I was INCREDIBLY honored to receive a 2021 RBC Race for the Kids at Comer Children’s Grant from the Comer Development Board! This grant is currently supporting my research looking at how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) affect development of cardiovascular disease in childhood cancer survivors. This groundbreaking work WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE without this grant!
Please consider making a gift to this year’s RBC Race for the Kids - I can attest PERSONALLY that your donation will make a difference in the lives of kids at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital and beyond. Funds provide doctor-scientists (like me!) with needed resources to conduct our life-saving research. No gift is too small, and your support would mean so to me personally. Thank you!
