Welcome to My Personal Page
I joined the Comer Children's Hospital Board in 2016 after learning about Comer's incredible team and the services they provide to patients across Chicago and beyond. As part of the University of Chicago hospitals, Comer attracts top tier medical talent, conducts ground-breaking medical research and is the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center on the city's South side. Comer provides care and support for children in some of our city's most underserved communities, helping to bridge the gaps in access to healthcare.
Please join me in supporting the Comer Bright Night Benefit 2022 crowd-fund. This two week initiative will directly support the hospital's Child Life program, which provide emotional and mental support to patients and their families. Whether a child is in the hospital for 1 day or 100, Child Life is there to ease the stress and provide tools to help families cope both inside and outside of the hospital. Child Life's many services include providing NuRoos to aid bonding between parents and their newborns, art/play therapies, tutoring and bereavement support. Many of these programs are not funded by private insurance or eligible for government reimbursement, and families often lack resources to provide.
I hope you agree that all children deserve these types of programs when faced with medical challenges, just like you would expect this type of care for your own family. Please join me in supporting this fundraiser. We have chosen a peer to peer campaign for 2022 as our extended hospital community is still not able to meet safely in a live event fundraiser format.
Gifts of any size will help us reach our fundraising goal! Please join me in helping provide a better future for kids in Chicago and throughout the world.
Your support means a lot to me personally. Thank you!
