We are fundraising in memory of Dr. Edward Bottei who completed medical school, an internal medicine residency, and a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the University of Chicago. Ed subsequently completed a clinical toxicology and hyperbaric fellowship at the University of Cincinatti. From 2002 - 2022 he served as the Medical Director of the Iowa Poison Control Center, the state medical toxicologist for the Iowa Dept of Public Health, and was an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Iowa. Throughout his career, Ed was an impactful mentor and educator, who dedicated his life to improving the lives of others. 

Memorial donations will be directed to the University of Chicago internal medicine residency program and used to furnish the recently renovated internal medicine resident lounge.
