The Avi Ethan Lazatin Award for Compassion and Excellence in Nursing

This award is established in the loving memory of Avi Ethan Lazatin by his parents Ms. Catherine Lazatin and Dr. Sonali Paul and his older brother Raj Lazatin. The award serves as a symbol of their ongoing love for Avi and the immense gratitude for the compassion, dedication, and expert care shown by the Labor and Delivery nurses and team at the University of Chicago. Under extraordinarily difficult circumstances, the L&D nurses were instrumental in caring for both Avi and his parents, and the Lazatin-Paul family are and will be eternally grateful.
Thank you for your generous donation in honor of our beloved son. Your support helps establish a nursing award in his memory that will continue in perpetuity, ensuring Avi's legacy lives on through the recognition and encouragement of compassionate caregivers. We are deeply appreciative—every gift, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact.
