SHOTGUNFRIDAY4GOOD

March of 2020 means different things for different people, for me and a special group of friends it means one thing - the born on date of ShotgunFriday. A simple way of connecting during that time with a video of yourself Shotgunning a beer to those in your text chain to signify “proof of life”. Four years later it is so much more, it’s about a personal connection in a time that lacks, a fountain of youth for those that need and a steady embrace of the core principles: Safety - Gather - Fun (SGF)
After 4 years of a Shotgun every Friday, it was time to turn it into some good. September 7th, 2024 marks my 25 year anniversary of living with diabetes. My ability to still Shotgun a beer safely every week while in the best health of my life is my own proof of life - a reminder to those that as the parameters of your situation change the ability to do anything remains.
Now I want to raise $25,000 to mark this moment and support the Kovler Foundation - a University of Chicago organization, committed to the Diabetic community & holistic health. All proceeds will be placed in the Aidan Taylor trust.
I’m calling on all to follow the journey and join the movement @Shotgunfriday4Good - Rules: Catch the feeling - rip a shotgun (alcoholic or non) - tag @shotgunfriday4good - pass it on & tag someone else. Or simply donate and spread some love. Hug a veteran, hug anyone. For 25 weeks I will document this journey; shotgunning beers, posting diabetic facts, sharing my story and trying to contributepositive energy and pumpness along the way.
Also - Purchase Merch - Proceeds go to charity:
