I am Kathy Horvath, a 16 year cancer survivor.  I owe my life to Dr. Nora Jaskowiak (pictured), the head of the Surgical Breast Cancer Center at the University of Chicago Medical Center.  I defeated breast cancer, however the journey doesn't always end after treatment.   

About one in five people will have lymphedema of the arm after breast cancer treatment that includes surgery to remove lymph nodes. Lymphedema can lead to aninfection which can be life threatening.
