Dear Family and Friends,

As part of becoming a Bar Mitzvah, I am completing a charity project. My Mitzvah Project is running the Chicago Hot Chocolate Run on Sunday, November 2, 2025 to raise money for the Pediatric Gastroenterology Family Fund at University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. The "Peds GI Fund" supports families whose children are in the hospital with Crohn's, Colitis, or other GI illnesses. The Fund helps families pay for many things that might be a struggle when their kid is in the hospital. This includes providing families with Uber gift cards, gas gift cards, groceries, CTA cards, and toys.

I chose to fundraise for the Peds GI Fund because my mom and sister have GI conditions. I think it is important for families to have easy access to these resources when their kids are hospitalized to ease the stress of hospital visits and make hospital stays a bit less dreadful. I have seen how hard it can be on the whole family.
