NICU Small Baby Training Program
Jeri and I are fundraising to support the NICU Small Baby Unit Training Program.
The Small baby Unit in the NICU will be dedicated to caring for our smallest patients at Comer, weighing less than 1 kilogram and born at or before 30 weeks gestation. The Small Baby Unit was designed with special accommodations—including dim lighting, sound monitors, and humidity—to mimic the atmosphere of a womb for babies born at this size.
Philanthropic support will enable us to develop and implement a training program for the entire NICU faculty and staff that will fully equip the NICU team to care for this patient population. Our goal is to raise $114,000 to support the NICU Small Baby Unit training initiative. Will you consider making a gift to support our specialized Small Baby Unit training program at Comer Children’s Hospital? If you would like to learn more about the impact of your gift or how to make a donation, please contact Maggie Connelly in the Comer Children’s Hospital development office at mconnelly@mbsd.uchicago.edu.
