Comer Development Board's COVID-19 Response Fundraiser for Comer Children's

Dear Friends of Comer Children’s,
We hope you and your family are staying healthy in this challenging time.
As co-presidents of the Comer Development Board, we are committed to raising awareness and addressing the pressing needs of the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital. As you can imagine, Comer Children’s Hospital is experiencing a surge in demand for services due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
In an effort to help alleviate the hardships that our pediatric patient families and frontline health care workers are experiencing as a result of this public health crisis, we are reaching out to ask you for donations to support essential items for the hospital as well as support COVID-19 research.
We need your help NOW to provide care and comfort to our patients and families, and ensure the safety and wellbeing of our health care community.
As a hospital at the forefront of kids’ medicine, Comer Children’s continues to serve some of the most vulnerable patients with trauma, cancer, or other chronic illnesses. Necessary new visitor restrictions and the closing of family kitchens have impacted our patients and families, who cannot be physically together at a difficult time. By making a donation to Comer Children’s, you can help alleviate the hardships on families and health care workers caused by the COVID pandemic.
Some of the needed items include:
- Urgent medical supplies for health care workers.
- Meals for clinical providers working around the clock.
- Technology needs to help families stay in touch with loved ones as they deal with visitor restrictions.
- Toys for pediatric patients to help brighten their days.
Our fundraiser will also help advance research into the prevention and treatment of COVID-19, specifically to help our pediatric patients.
Together, we can support patients, families, and health care workers to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic and create a better future. Make a donation today to Comer Children’s to help us continue to serve kids at the forefront of medicine.
We thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Stacia Feinberg
