Please help me ensure all kids have access to critical patient care programs!

Please join the Comer Development Board create brighter tomorrows for kids at the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital. Our 10-day Bright Night Benefit crowdfunding campaign runs April 18–April 29 and supports patient care programs at Comer Children’s.
I have been a member of the Comer Development Board since 2019. I am passionate about Comer Children's Hospital because it provides life saving (and more routine) clinical care to children across Chicago, including children in our most under-served communities. The past two years has only heightened my awareness of how important access to quality healthcare is and now more than ever the children of Chicago need our help.
Given Comer's proximity to the south and west sides of Chicago, Comer Chlidren's receives more young victims of trauma and penetrating puncture wounds than any other hospital in the entire country. Comer's Level 1 Pediatric Trama Center is exceptional and Chicago is so fortunate that kids can receive such a high level of care that enables the best chance of a positive outcome.
In addition to critical emergency care, Comer Children's is a leader in research and care of complex medical conditions and provides exceptional treatment for children of Chicago and from all over the world.
All funds raised from the Bright Night Benefit: Crowd Fund for Comer Children's will fund critical patient care programs that would not be possible but for this funding. Examples include NuRoo's provided to new mothers, Art Therapy for patients in hospital for a long term stay, and most poignantly, bereavement support for grieving families. None of these types programs are typically funded by private insurance or government funded reimbursement.
I hope you agree that all children deserve these types of programs when faced with medical challenges, just like you would expect this type of care for your own family. Please join me in supporting this fundraiser. We have chosen a peer to peer campaign for 2022 as our extended hospital community is still not able to meet safely in a live event fundraiser format.
Gifts of any size will help us reach our fundraising goal, and your support would mean a lot to me personally. Thank you!
